VASCO DA GAMA – It lies across the Zuari River and is the rail terminus for visitors to Goa

MAPUSA – Noted for its Friday market to which people from all over Goa flock to buy and sell a vast variety of wares ranging from dried fish to farm animals and household items

MARGAO – The commercial city of this region also noted for its palatial houses with their balconies, patios and red-tiled slopping roofs. The city houses a huge public library, college, hospital and offices of numerous commercial enterprises

BASILICA OF BOM JESUS – Located in Old Goa is the Basilica in which is enshrined the remains of St. Francis xavier. An exposition of the tomb is held every ten years

SHRI MANGESHI TEMPLE – This is 400 year old temple dedicated to shiva is a strange blend of Hindu and Christian faith
